This website celebrates the life of legendary jazz bassist and
photographer Milt Hinton (1910-2000). It was conceived and
created by David G. Berger & Holly Maxson who worked with
Milt on book and film projects for decades and curate the
Milton J. Hinton Photographic Collection.

Many call Milt the most recorded musician in 20th Century jazz
and popular music. He also managed to take more than 60,000
photographs to document his life. He was a true humanitarian
- committed to passing on what he learned and experienced to
younger generations.
